PRIYA ON STAGE

She performs burlesque as Stella Sundari as 1 of 4 queer femme South Asian burlesque artists on the East Coast. Combining her ballet, heels, belly and burlesque dance training alongside her multi-genre vocal abilities, she effortlessly transports audiences to new possibilities of love, rage, sensuality and power.

In addition to her artistic endeavors, Priya integrates trauma-informed yoga, meditation, sound healing and spirituality into her work. By offering spaces that nurture spiritual and emotional growth, she invites both audiences and students to engage in their own personal transformations, using art as a tool for healing and self-discovery.

Since July 2023, Priya has performed in over 150 shows including a dazzling multitude of cabarets and concerts in the tri-state area. She has written, produced & performed 7 original immersive theatrical cabarets featuring burlesque, aerial, live music, and storytelling.with sold-out shows at The Red Pavilion, Silvana, The Delancey, The Cutting Room, Minton’s Playhouse and more.

Priya Roy (she/her) is an NYC-based multidisciplinary artist whose work transcends boundaries: blending music, theatre, dance, and visual storytelling into transformative experiences. As an artist & academic, her work explores queer love, identity, belonging, grief & healing. She combines performance and theory to entice us to enjoy the pleasures of life while healing from the prickly pains.

She regularly performs with bands as a lead vocalist; produces immersive theatrical cabarets; and teaches trauma-informed yoga and guided meditation with live music. Her debut EP, (Be)loved: The Live EP, a personal story about healing from trauma through glitter and stilettos, was released on November 11, 2025.
